Sunday 27th March saw a young man, Kyle, and his Dad, Simon, taking place in the very first Zeus Race in Ashby-de-la-Zouch.
At the age of 11, this would be the longest race he’s taken part in.
However, Kyle is not new to OCR’s having taken part in Mudrunner and the Great Escape last year.
Kyle enjoyed racing so much he decided to run and raise money for charity. Kyle chose The Dogs Trust as dogs are a very important part of Kyle’s life.
Kyle joined a local running group, R.I.O.T. Running Club, based in West Oxfordshire and ran off road for about 10k every Sunday, sometimes in rather unpleasant winter conditions!
He has raised £385 for charity.
Kyle really enjoyed taking place in Zeus Race as it gave him the chance to compete at a more adult level. He loved the up and under bars in the woods, and hurdling the tyre jumps on the motocross track.
Kyle and his dad, Simon, are looking forward to taking part again in June!
